Abstract
MECCA using Blackboard's CourseInfo (Bb) has demonstrated the export of "best practices" and collaborative administration of a summer Science enrichment program for high school students between two institutions of higher education. Accepted Students were paired with faculty mentors to do research, participate in online academic study, and prepare online research posters. Student evaluation demonstrated the strength of using e-learning tools with problem-based learning. F2F content delivery techniques in a virtual classroom were found to be educationally non-stimulating. The integration of problem-based learning with e-learning needs further study. Bb was used for administrative collaboration. Collaborative tools associated with Bb were mapped to administrative purposes, and used effectively.
