Abstract

This research aimed to develop the competency factor model of information technology teacher at the lower level of secondary education by using structural relationship models. The research samples were 120 experts and 384 schools under the OBEC, Thailand. The research tools were expert questionnaire and school questionnaire. The data were analyzed by EFA and CFA. The research founded that 1) all the 54 studied variables had factor loadings of 0.351-0.844,they could classify into 12 components which had eigenvalues over 1.000,all components could explain all variables at 72.963%, then 46 variables with factor loading over 0.500 were selected and adjusted into ten components of the model as required by experts and 2) the model as intent by schools was valid because the model was fitted well to the empirical data; Chi-Square Sig. = 0.363, AGFI = 0.970, SRMR = 0.013, RMSEA = 0.015; the model was composed of three factors; knowledge, skill, and affection, and ten sub-factors from 46 variables.
