Abstract
In designing and implementing a learning experience, it is useful to establish a model of the intended outcomes. The knowledge modeling approach provides a method for developing such a model. Once a model is developed it can be subsequently revised and, then can serve as a basis for evaluating the relative effectiveness of the instructional program. This brief paper introduces the methodology of the knowledge modeling approach and provides an example of how the author has applied this approach to the development of an instructional system.
