Abstract

This paper look at some of the ways in which technology can help leverage a principal management time and leadership efforts so that additional attention can be focused on instructional leadership challenges. In the past, principals were evaluated on providing a safe and orderly school but today, during these disruptive times, all of those traditional expectations remain, but the priorities have changed. Student performances on statewide accountability tests have become increasingly important to the success of the principal, the school, and the school district. Pressure to improve test scores requires that principals be more involved in analyzing student performance data with teachers, coordinating teacher efforts, arranging for staff development opportunities, and working with an expanded array of community members and business partners, (Gordon, 2006).
