Pre-service and In-service teachers participated in a newly developed course, jointly offered by the mathematics and curriculum and instruction departments. The blended/hybrid three-week course investigated teaching mathematics to diverse learners. The Learning Management Software (LMS), ANGEL, provided a system for structuring the conversations around diversity, sharing technology related lessons for electronic white boards, and investigating how access to mathematics can be enhanced through the use of technology. A summary of student discussion comments and final reaction papers is the evidence used for analysis. Participants will learn how the software used helped teachers (pre and in service) clarify, articulate and demonstrate realistic plans for teaching in today’s secondary mathematics classroom.
