Abstract

Abstract: This study investigated student engagement in boys in Grade 6 from one elementary school in Victoria, Australia. One of the unique features of this study was the development and use of an online journaling space that was engaging for the boys to use. This journaling space focused on the students reporting on their affective, behavioural and cognitive engagement in their classroom learning. It also provided a way for the students to upload a work sample that could then be discussed in further detail at a later time.
