Abstract

This paper discusses the growing importance of teaching webs - both as an augmentation aid to conventional teaching and as a replacement for 'stand and deliver' courses. The development of teaching webs is discussed within the framework of a case study relating to the development of an intranet/Internet facility to support the teaching of a two-semester, final-year, BSc degree module in human-computer interaction. Some of the advantages, problems and pitfalls of this approach to educational delivery are briefly discussed.
