Abstract

Abstract: This interactive session will provide an overview of the capabilities of the popular multimedia development tool Macromedia Flash. Flash is best described as a flexible development tool that can be used for the creation of presentations, animations, software applications, cd-roms, websites, training and educational materials. The session will focus on demonstrating basic Flash concepts, allowing participants to try Flash for themselves and providing enough information about Flash so that participants can decide whether or not this tool could meet their development needs. This session is intended for educators, administrators and those who are curious about Flash. Prerequisites for the participants of this session include basic computer skills such as surfing the net, using email or a word processing program.
