Abstract
This paper recalls the major factors that have affected the integration of technologies in the classrooms of Quebec (Canada) since the 1980s and reports the results of recent research findings concerning the state of their integration in the elementary school teaching context. Research objectives relating to the effect that "teacher education programs" have on preservice teachers within the context of ICT integration by their associate teachers will be presented. The effect of the practicum on the integration of ICT by preservice teachers will be measured by the administration of a pre-test and a post-test conducted among 60 preservice teachers in the preschool and elementary program at the University of Sherbrooke, Canada.
