Abstract
This virtual brief paper addresses an innovative initiative under a $100,000 grant award for teacher planning. The grant’s goals are to increase the ICT skills of pre-service and in-service teachers. This particular initiative has combined four key best practices in an effort to positively impact teacher and student ICT skills. This multi-faceted approach is a synergetic combination of: (1) Equipment Acquisition/Technology Integration, (2) Teacher Professional Development (ICT), (3) Online Communities of Practice, and (4) Collaboration between in-service and pre-service teachers in the field. This brief paper is submitted as a work-in-progress in the hopes of generating discussion at this formative stage.
