Abstract
Abstract: This virtual brief paper addresses an innovative approach in an undergraduate course where service learning has been incorporated. Designed in a blended approach, teacher candidates in this course participated in online discussions and wiki development, as well as traditional face-to-face in-class work investigating technology for teaching and learning. In the spirit of service learning and helping both in-service and pre-service teachers meet the ISTE NETS-T (National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers), candidates devoted 10-20 hours minimum for preparing and conducting a face-to-face technology fair on campus—as well as maintained a virtual electronic technology fair online.
