Abstract
Scheduling algorithms simulators of RTOSs are useful tools for designing and improving real-time systems. In this article we introduce Scheduling Algorithms Graphical Simulator of RTOS (SAGS). SAGS is the first simulator which shows all steps of real-time systems execution graphically. In SAGS, we model a real-time system with a liquid-bottle-conveyer belt system and scheduling algorithms can be written using a combination of system parameters or using a C++ function. Also, SAGS presents 3 different statistical reports. Flexibility and simplicity of SAGS makes the user able to write, run and examine complex scheduling algorithms conveniently. Researchers and students can write and test different scheduling algorithms, and during the running of their algorithms they will realize the benefits and the disadvantages of the algorithms and they will learn how complex real-time systems schedule their jobs. In this article, we explain SAGS function, usage, implementation and its results.
