Abstract
Abstract: This virtual poster session proposal addresses an innovative work-in-progress where service learning has been incorporated into an undergraduate educational technology teacher preparation course. Designed in a blended approach, teacher candidates in this course participate in online discussions and wiki development, as well as traditional face-to-face in-class work investigating technology for teaching and learning. In the spirit of service learning and helping in-service teachers meet the ISTE NETS-T Standards, candidates devote a minimum of ten hours preparing for and conducting a face-to-face technology fair on campus for in-service and pre-service teachers—as well as maintain a virtual electronic technology fair online.
