Abstract
FIXA-T’HI is a learning environment conceived to promote environmental education among students in secondary education. It is based on the interaction between two maps: a geographical representation of the territory of Catalonia, and a collaborative constructed map which is the result of the relationships between images, words and places. The web-based collaborative system supports situated learning, encouraging the participation of learners in the construction of knowledge. It has been successfully applied in a pilot pedagogic experience but needs still to be tested in a large scale implementation, with the participation of multiple schools.
