In developing countries like India, the mismatch between the culture of techno-centric mindedness and the teachers’ pedagogic culture results in the alienation of the teachers from the use of technology. The present paper focuses on examining teachers’ attitude towards ICT, level of technical ICT skills as well as their experiences with ICT and how they use ICT in their current educational practices. There may be a chance that due to presence of different types and levels of ICT skills and attitudes possessed by teachers or due to their various pedagogical practices, the actual integration of ICT in pedagogy might get hindered. This paper attempts to identify such relationship, if any, between the possession of ICT skills by teachers, attitude of teachers towards ICT and the actual implementation of ICT in the classrooms.
