Abstract

In this panel, we will draw a picture relating to ICT in education of three countries in the Middle East: Turkey, Lebanon and Israel, with a focus on mobile technologies. Currently these tools are developing rapidly and can be seen as the promising tools for equity. During this discussion we will try to figure out similarities, differences and challenges in these countries. A description of the general situation in ICT integration in education as well as case studies from teacher education colleges and schools in the three countries will be the basis for the discussion about the probability of mobile technologies to diminish the digital gap between countries.
