Moodle has been used mostly for teaching and learning as that is its primary function. However, educational institutions also rely heavily on key administrative practices. Moodle, being flexible in its architecture, can easily be adapted as a single point of access for members of an institution. This would then allow an educational institution to organize and manage all activities within one platform. Using one platform creates familiarity and ease of use. Since all modules work in a similar way, the learning curve from one module to another is greatly reduced compared to learning new software for each task, hence augmenting productivity. This presentation will describe how Moodle can be used to integrate plug-ins that manage: student grades, central profile information, enrolments, student progress, committee and board meetings, resource bookings (such as rooms or equipment), syllabi and shared documents.
