Abstract

This study described an online assessment training module in a peer assessment process. Forty-six pre-service teachers from a major Midwest university participated in this training before they assessed peers' projects. Students' perceptions toward this training module were explored and results suggested that appropriately utilized assessment training might have a positive impact on students' critical assessment ability and help students improve the quality of their own projects. This finding may throw some light on how to empower pre-service teachers with appropriate assessment techniques.
