Abstract

This paper presents findings of a research that examined the impact of web-based learning on teamwork competencies. Qualitative analysis techniques were used to examine the implementation of teamwork skills by Higher Education students in Israel. Findings indicated that teamwork skills were implemented more in the internet learning environment than in a face-to-face learning environment. For example, leadership skills were implemented by 48% internet students, compared to its implementation by only 15 % of face-to-face students. The findings point to the fact that internet environment may serve as an experiment cushion, practice, and training of required skills in the information era, which are transferable to other environments.
