As part of the PT3 initiative, Learning and Integrating New Knowledge and Skills (LINKS) was a technology project designed to enhance the teacher preparation program at Texas Woman's University. The primary goals were to (a) integrate effective use of technology into teacher education, (b) build preservice teachers' technological proficiencies and curricular integration understandings, and (c) support the integration of technology in regional school districts. During the course of the project, students completed online coursework and documented their competencies through extended field experiences. Concurrently, university instructors received instruction in web-based course delivery and technology integration. In addition, a group of mentor teachers who supported field-based activities participated in awareness-building opportunities. By the grant's conclusion, the project had been integrated into online technology course requirements completed during the teacher education sequence. Program development, evaluation findings and sustainability efforts are the focus of this paper.
