This pilot study was initiated to investigate preservice and inservice teachers' (a) use, (b) interest, (c) perceived skills and knowledge, and (d) perceived support for using technologies in the primary/elementary science curriculum in five countries including England, Finland, Ireland, Slovenia, and the USA. The six authors are developing a questionnaire to be distributed electronically to the selected populations in the five countries. Data will be collected electronically and the SPSS software package will be used to analyze the data. Results of the international collaboration of the development process will be discussed at the conference in addition to the review of an Irish exploratory inquiry of preservice teachers' preparation in the knowledge, interest, and use of technologies in the science curriculum.
